Bits for ambitious leisure riders through to professionals. The beris bit manufactory in Schleswig-Holstein was created through years of experience in bit making and the resulting experience, craftsmanship and equestrian passion: A passion for horses. The protection of the sensitive horse"s mouth is a very special concern for beris. From the snaffle ring to the elaborate side piece: every piece of metal is shaped, welded and polished to a mirror finish by hand. The innovative shape of the mouthpiece also ensures better acceptance and facilitates controlled communication between horse and rider. The beris mouthpieces are made of food-safe plastic with a finish and surface treatment that is unrivaled in plastic bits. Their surface is particularly smooth and they glide well in the mouth even with horses that do not salivate much. Practically all horses like our mouthpieces. They salivate, chew more and like to approach the bit. Genuine craftsmanship made in Germany.

The anatomically correctly shaped mouthpiece rests evenly and lightly on the tongue and bars, providing more space and freedom of movement for the tongue. When taking the reins, even pressure is applied to the lower jaw and tongue. There is no lateral squeezing of the tongue and bars. Bit guards makes it impossible to pinch the lips. Thanks to its slightly curved shape, the comfort bar lies especially nicely in the mouth. Mouthpieces with a slightly curved bar are considered to be particularly gentle and easy on the mouth. This feature, combined with our Beris synthetic material, enables horse and rider to communicate even more gently and comfortably. Identical in shape to the comfort bar, only the thickness of the mouthpiece is much smaller at 15 mm. This makes the mouthpiece an ideal bit for ponies or horses that have very little space in their mouth. The Pelham - a classic with a more elegant design refined by us. When taking the reins, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on the shank length (5 cm or 7.5 cm), the bit can be angled directly in the mouth to varying degrees. Can be used on horses that have difficulty coming through at the poll, "hot" horses, or on horses that need significant input in critical situations (such as jump offs or similar). The Pelham is supplied with curb hooks. Supplied without curb chain, matching beris curb chain: item no. 6541001
